as the son of jane and reid hobbs, nathaniel lead a life that some would hate to have. the family wasn't well off, reid was laid off only a few years after nathaniel was born and it was a long struggle for him to find a new job, jane worked two jobs just to keep a roof over her families head. nathaniel was none the wiser to the severity of the situation, he was easily please and impressed, rarely asking his parents for anything other than the ocassional game or new pair of shoes. however one day at school, a friend of his brought a football and the second nathaniels foot touched the ball, a love was sparked.
eventually things got better, reid landed his dream job and finances were finally better. jane was able to quit one of her jobs and things around the hobbs household were much less stressful, still, nathaniel was completely oblivious to it all but his parents liked it that way. there was nothing they wanted less than to make their son feel badly about a situation he had no control over, especially one that really didn't concern him anyway. they weren't the type of people to share too much information with their child, a happy household was their main goal and they would have done anything to make that happen.
school was never a favourite thing for nate, he wasn't a morning person and actually having to think of anything other than football seemed like a chore to him. despite all of that, he never quit and once he was in high school he started playing for the schools team, it was the one thing that made him truly happy. his love for football became obvious as he dominated on the pitch, his skills over shadowing anyone elses which of course lead to jealousy from other players and people at school. naturally, being good at something typically brings hate which lead to nate being bullied a bit, luckily it never got too bad and he was finished with school before he knew it.
while nate tredded through high school, he was being watched by the right people. at the age of 18 he was signed by liverpool fc as the second youngest player to ever be signed to the club. things started off slowly of course, being so young and new he was typically a sub and most times he didn't even get put in the game, when he did though, he proved to them why they made the right choice in signing him.
nate continued to prove himself, becoming one of the star players on the team, even playing for the national team. his day came when he was no longer a sub and was finally a starter. however, as exciting as that was, playing in the world cup had to be one of the highlights of his life. not only was he able to do it in 2011 but also in 2014. despite the team not fairing well at all, being eliminated early on, nate was named the teams best performing player which was an honour in itself.
as of right now, lfc is finishing up their 2014-2015 season, with just a few matches left to play. the team had a slight fall from grace, finishing in second the previous season, now in fifth. nothing was going to stop nate from putting in his all, currently the teams high scorer with 7 goals. controversy seems to be surrounding him right now after a video of him smoking was leaked and contract rumours are swirling, but he refuses to let them get the best of him. as of right now, his only concern is to play football and play it well.
